Policy

The Policy File

A policy that is a document is a wish. A policy that is enforced by software is a control.

What we do

Draft it, then encode it.

We draft your Investment Policy Statement, or rebuild the one you already have. Objectives, time horizon, risk tolerance, target allocation, tolerance bands, liquidity floors, concentration limits, prohibited exposures, currency policy, jurisdiction rules, and the governance around changing any of it.

Then we encode it. The rules become machine-readable and the system measures your live balance sheet against them continuously.

When an allocation drifts outside its band, you know that week rather than at the next review. When a concentration limit is breached, it is flagged with the position that breached it. When a capital call is due against liquidity that is committed elsewhere, you see it a quarter early.

The document is yours. The enforcement is automatic. Every amendment is versioned, so the policy has a history and you can see what was in force when a decision was made.

Why this one matters most

It converts the record from a view into a system.

Without a policy file, a balance sheet tells you what is. With one, it tells you what should be, what isn't, and by how much.
